Innovation-el is a national research infrastructure network comprised of leading Research Institutions and Universities in Greece. Innovation-el web design & dev, was a relatively low-budget project, assigned to Scify, with whom I collaborated, to create a tailor-made user experience.

Innovation-el is a national research infrastructure network comprised of leading Research Institutions and Universities in Greece. Its mission is to promote scientific excellence and the development of knowledge intensive products providing open-access to top-notch research facilities to academic and industrial users.
Project Objectives
For this project we had to approach a very specific target group and make it easy for them to find what they need.
First of all, it should be prominent enough what the services of Innovation-el are.
Secondly, it was very important to explain at a quick glance how the user can request for one of the services.
Last but not least, we had to deal with a large number of products - tools that innovation-el is offering, some of which should be easily be compared with other related ones.

Use cases
• Use case 1
User has a generic production problem and wants to ask for assistance by describing what they need.
• Use case 2
User is an expert and knows exactly what she wants. She just needs to go through the facilities, find the proper tool and request for it.
"How it works" section
The creation of a section explaining how users can communicate their request and get answers on their queries was an initiative taken by our team.
The client described to us the process that the user would follow to ask for what she needs. We decided that this information is so important that should be showcased on the homepage, and even better, visualized and explained in steps.
Illustrations
A set of illustrations accompanying text components, such as "services" and "how it works" sections, were created to properly visualise and acompany content.
